Well, I retired from the Marine Band June 1st, 2014, after 26 years. It still feels strange not to be playing the various gigs I used to gear up for every year. It's spring and Easter is Sunday... it feels weird not to be getting ready to play at the White House for Easter Monday and the Egg Roll. It was always fun to see the Easter bunny and all the kids dressed in their best clothes running around the White House lawn having a blast. I'll miss playing... and screaming "Spongebob Squarepants"! Too much fun! I'm updating my website, my Yamaha Artist bio, started a FaceBook career page (https://www.facebook.com/AudreySaxgirl), and joined Twitter. I'm excited about my future musical endeavors-- new CD... new sax/musician stuff... new arrangements... and some writing. Sometimes it's overwhelming because I want to do too much! LOL I'm not great at remembering to blog and share with you all, but I'm trying to do more.
